Time interval: Late Pleistocene

Max Ma: 0.065

Age basis: OSL

Geography comments: "in Xinhe Town of Chongzuo City"
there are U/Th dates of 168.1 +/- 1.1 and 186.1 +/- 1.7 ka on "soda straw stalactites" that provide a maximum age because the stalactites "are thought be precipitated prior to their deposition"
the authors instead favour OSL dates of 29.7 +/- 2.2 and 65.0 +/- 8.1 ka on Late Stage "sediment samples"

Environment
Lithology: claystone

Taphonomic context: cave

Habitat comments: the "Early Stage" comes from "a set of light brown calcitic cemented sandy clay" and the "Late Stage"comes from an upper layer "composed of brown silty clay" and a lower layer "comprised of brown sandy clay"
human artefacts are not present and the accumulation agent is not discussed
